How the NBA Calculator Works
Our NBA calculator uses Monte Carlo simulation with pace-adjusted Poisson distribution to predict game outcomes and player performance. By simulating 10,000 games, we generate accurate probability distributions for Over/Under totals and player props.
Key Metrics
- Offensive Rating (OffRtg): Points scored per 100 possessions
- Defensive Rating (DefRtg): Points allowed per 100 possessions
- Pace: Number of possessions per game (NBA avg ~100)
- Usage Rate: % of team plays used by a player while on court
